Ashokbhai Sheth, renowned lover of natural herbal plants, met me
during my post graduation study at Jamnagar in 1994 and gave me
the immense enthusiasm regarding identification as well as collection
of various natural medicinal plants. His hobby is to collect photographs
of natural herbal plants with its parts like root, bark, seed, fruits...etc.
and its formulations like extract, oil, gum...etc., with using high
quality digital photography. For this he had spent plenty of years
and rotating almost all over India with his team. His aim is to
know nature's beautiful creation-herbal plants nearly and spreads
their identity upto society people.
I have joined with his work since last 10 years, as I am very much
interested in academic as well as clinical research work of various
plants of Ayurveda. This is the generation or century of Ayurveda.
I put my level best comprehension efforts in preparation of this
book which covers 600 species of medicinal plants which covers different
names and synonyms in various languages, family, distribution, description,
chemical constituents, parts used, properties, usages, doses, formulations
etc. with their beautiful colored photographs.
This is a unique work in the field of Ayurveda. It's my luck that
Shree Ashokbhai met me and we worked together for Ayurveda, the
science and way of life. In my opinion this book will be very much
useful for students, scholars, scientists, pharmacists, teachers,
professors, chemists, botanists, beauticians, clinicians, consultants
as well as common people. Thanks to the God & Shree Ashokbhai
Sheth for participating and taking my honourable service in this
scientific, precious social task.
I have completed my school education from Daxinamoorty vinay mandir,
Bhavnagar. Then I started my academic career in the field of Ayurveda
at Sheth J.P. Ayurveda college, Bhavnagar and got the degree B.A.M.S.
Then I joined for post graduation study at Jamnagar (I.P.G.T &
R.A) in Rasa Shastra & Bhaishjya Kalpana dept. and completed
M.D.(Ayu.). After completion of this, I have selected through
G.P.S.C direct recruitment as a Insurance medical officer (I.M.O.
(Ayu.) CL-II) in 1998. At present I am serving in E.S.I.S. Disp
No.l at Rajkot as above post. Recently I have elected as a Senate
member (Registered graduate constituency) of Guj. Ayu. Uni, Jamnagar.
I am recently board member & executive member of various govt.
& non government organizations
